Featured Business of the Month
The Featured Business of the Month for March is......
The Byrd Theatre

The Byrd Theatre is located in the heart of the Carytown shopping district. Many of us know it as the go to place to see recent movies that are no longer in theaters for $1.99. It's beautiful architectural detail and downtown feel make it a local favorite for all ages. In addition to playing movies, the theater also sponsors The VCU French Film Festival, The 48 Hour Film Festival, the James River Film Festival, and a host of other shows and miscellaneous activities throughout the year.
The Byrd Theatre has a rich history that is deeply embedded into Richmond. The Byrd Theatre was built in 1928 and is now considered a state and National Historic landmark. In 2007, the Byrd Theatre was acquired by the Byrd Theatre Foundation. The Byrd Theatre Foundation's main objective is to preserve the culture that the theater has created, while restoring it's condition so that it continues to keep history, culture, and recreation alive in Richmond.
